Wilhemina Battle

Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, 3:00pm-6:00pm Ingram Brother Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022, 1:00pm, St Galilee Baptist Church, Sparta, Georgia.

Wilhemina made her transition to be with the Lord on October 24, 2022 She was born on August 9, 1958 to Willie Mae Battle in Hancock County, Sparta, Ga, and the late Rev. G, W. Battle who preceded her in death. Also preceded her in death were a son, Ronny Battle; Five siblings: Patricia, James, George, Eddie and Minnie.

Wilhemina joined Saint Galilee Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1978. Her places of employment were: Payback in Sparta, Georgia, Rheem Manufactory in Milledgeville, Georgia and Haband in Eatonton, Georgia. After her tenue of work, she advanced her education. She received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children: Two sons;  Detrich(Shanika)Battle of Sparta, Georgia, James Anthony Jackson of Macon, Georgia; Two daughters: Ceimeceia Lamar and Sameika Smith; Two son-in-laws: Jaquan Lamar and Dontarius Smith. Her Mother. Willie Mae Battle of Sparta, Ga; Eight sisters: Joan Smith, Ora Battle, Minister Jeanette Dixon, Sadie Battle Dennis; Cheryl Battle Taylor, Elder Teresa Green and Denise(Datril)Wynn  all of Sparta, Georgia. Virginia Battle of Milledgeville, Georgia. Two brothers: Charlie(Glenda)Battle of Marietta, Georgia and Victor(Dianne)Battle of Sparta. Seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; Three aunts: Anna Hill and Julia Roach of Sparta, Georgia, and Liberty Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; Two uncles: Bennie Frank Roach of Monticello, Georgia, James Roach of Atlanta, Georgia; and, an extended family of siblings: Donna, Sanford, Jeffery, Wendell Posley and Joshua Battle,  and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends,
