Ms. Shirley Ann Taylor of Milledgeville, formerly of Sparta, GA, transitioned to her final rest on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, 1:00PM, Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery, 55 New Street, Sparta, GA 31087
Ms. Shirley Ann (Wilson) Taylor, the daughter of the late Mr. Edward Wilson, Sr. and Mrs. Corene Wilson was born September 7, 1952, in Sparta, Ga. Her death came quietly on March 21, 2024, at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility in Macon, GA. Shirley was a very kind, quiet, and easygoing person. She was a source of love and support to her family and all others who knew her. To know her was to love her sweet spirit. The bond she shared with her family was unmatched. Realizing the need for Christ, she joined Tabernacle Baptist Church early in life and worked diligently for the church serving God and others.
On November 22, 1969, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Edward (Buddy) Taylor and to this union three children, Ricky L. Taylor, Eric A. Taylor, and Lakeesha (Donald) Taylor-Robinson. (LaShawnda, Latauri, Louie Deonte and Anthony Howell). She was a member of the 1970 graduating class from Hancock Central High School. Also, she was a graduate of Crandall Junior College in Macon, GA in 1990 where she received her Associate's degree in Computer Technology. Wanting to deepen her relationship with Christ attended the American Theological Seminary receiving a Bachelor's degree. She was employed at Meadows Barnett & Sons for 20 years as a machine operator.
To morn, her passing is a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend will continue to carry the love she shared. All of her siblings preceded her in death. Mr. Leroy Wilson Sr, Annye “Pam” Skrine, Edward Wilson Jr, and Jackie Lee Wilson.
