Ms. Lequita Charmain Walton of Morrow, GA, transitioned to final rest on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 12 noon, St Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Sparta, GA. Public Viewing will be on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3:00P.M. - 6:00P.M. Ingram Brothers Chapel.
Lequita Charmain Walton affectionately known as Kita or Kita Wita was born June 3, 1973, in Decatur, GA to the late Adolph Walton and Beatrice Rhodes Walton. Kita was the baby of five siblings which include: Sylvia, Shari Lynn, Adolphus, and Leatrice (Dede).
Lequita Walton attended John B. Gordon Elementary School and Southside High School in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Southside High School July 1991 and then attended Georgia State College and University in Milledgeville, GA. From that college, Kita attended Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. Kita worked for AT&T between Georgia and Florida for four plus years before she began her career at the Internal Revenue Service (Jacksonville, FL) where she worked for over 15 years until she transitioned.
Lequita’s favorite pastime was baking, traveling (she traveled to over 5 countries), cooking, sewing, painting, and hanging with family, extended family, and friends. She just visited Dubai with her best friend and sister, Sheree Carreker, for her 50th birthday and they had a wonderful time. She definitely lived life to its fullest potential with no regrets or apologies.
In addition to her parents, Lequita was also preceded in death by three of her siblings, Ms. Sylvia Elaine Walton, Adolphus Mashun Walton, and Leatrice DeEtra Walton. Lequita transitioned from her earthly vessel into eternity on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
She leaves to cherish her memories one sister, Ms. Shari Lynn Walton, Morrow, Georgia; special niece, Miracle Cunningham, Morrow, GA; special nephew, Josiah Williams, Morrow, GA. Two aunts, Clinsetee McKibbens (Arthur), Decatur, GA and Viola R. Harris (Major), Sandersville, GA. Special nephew, Justin Walton, Atlanta, GA. Special sisters, Sheree Carreker (Dale), Thomaston, GA; and Tonia Evans, McDonough, GA. Special friend, Tony Butts, Milledgeville, GA; one GOD son, Will J’Sean Evans, Thomaston, GA.; and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
