Mr. Keith Jerome Harden, of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Sparta, GA, transitioned to his final rest on Monday, February 26, 2024. Public Viewing will be on Friday, March 8, 2024, 4:00PM – 6:00PM, Ingram Brothers Chapel. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, 12 Noon, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Sparta, GA. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Life & Legacy of Mr. Keith Jerome Harden - On August 17, 1960, a sweet baby boy was born to the parents of Benny Lee (deceased) and Bernestine Harden. He was named KEITH JEROME HARDEN.
During his early years, Keith was raised in Sparta and Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended public schools in both cities. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1979. His childhood days were filled with his love for riding his horse, "Charger", playing with his dog "Bo Derek". and riding his motorcycle.
A major part of Keith’s early life was attending Macedonia Baptist Church and Sunday School. He joined Macedonia and was baptized with his brother, Troy and cousins, Tony and Jeff Bell.
After graduating from high school, Keith embarked on a journey, filled with love, family, and service. Upon entering adulthood, he married his first wife, Elizabeth Armour, and to this union, two sons were born—Keith Troy’Anthony and Benjamin Cornelius. Keith fulfilled civic duties with his service to our country. He served in the United States Army for 11 years before being honorably discharged.
During the course of his tenure in the Army, he met his lifelong partner of 32 years, Claudette Harden. It was in this union that their son, Brian Jamal Francisco was born, and he became the proud dad of Claudette’s daughter, Latasha Xiomara. He played a pivotal role in her upbringing and he accepted her as his own. Keith’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and he instilled values of kindness, resilience, and compassion in not only his children, but also his grandchildren, KT, Benji, Hiroaki, Samaj, KJ, TJ, and Femi.
Keith's memory will forever be cherished. Along with Claudette, his children, grandchildren, and loved ones, Keith is mourned by his mother, Bernestine, siblings Troy (Vera) Harden and Keisha (Ulysses) Foston, daughter-in-law, Sherri, family members and countless friends.
