Julia Mae Davis

The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Julia Mae Davis will be on Friday, June 9, 2023, 12 Noon, Christ Temple of Refuge, 116 Frank Bone Rd SW, Milledgeville, GA.  Interment will follow at Jones Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Sparta, GA. Public Viewing will be on Thursday, June 8, 2023, 3:00pm- 6:00pm Ingram Brothers Chapel.

On Friday June 2, 2023 Julia Mae Davis went home to be with the Lord. Julia was born October 17, 1946 in Sparta Georgia. She was proceeded in death by: Husband Johnnie (Bobbie) Davis, Sr, her mother Louise Chatman-Warren, her father John Henry Warren Sr., sister, Wanda (Theodore) Tharpe, brother Linton (Henrietta) Warren and John Henry Warren Jr.

She is survived by: Four children: Johnny (Chucky) Davis Jr., Aaron (Regale) Davis, Bernadette Burnett and Nikki Davis. Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Eight siblings: Evelyn Warren of Jacksonville Florida, Irene Warren of Milledgeville Georgia, Annie (James) Williams of Macon Georgia, Rosa Ward of Fredericksburg Virginia, Audrey Hitchcock of Locust Grove Virginia, Nathaniel (Linda) Warren of Milledgeville Georgia, Calvin (Carolyn) Warren of Milledgeville Georgia and Rodney Warren of Fredericksburg Virginia. One Uncle: Marvin Chatman of Sparta Georgia. One Brother-In-Law: Raymond (Vanessa) Davis of Milledgeville Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and church family

We will never say good-bye to you because we know without a doubt this is not the end for us to see each other again. The day you answered God’s call and left it all, it left an empty space in our hearts and tears in our eyes. We still don’t understand why this had to happen so soon. You never complained, were always there to show love and pray for everyone until you closed your eyes to say goodbye.
