David "Bip" Lundy

Mr. David "Bip" Lundy passed away on July 13, 2022.  Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Chapel Church.  The service will be at graveside.

Mr. David “Bip” Lundy

David “Bip” Lundy was born on April 6, 1963, and the youngest son to the late Willie Gordon “Bro” and Jennie Lee Lundy of Sparta, GA; where he resided until peacefully transitioning after a brave fight with cancer on July 13, 2022.  Mr. Lundy graduated from Hancock Central High in Sparta, GA and worked as a Forensic Service Tech with Central State Hospital-Payton B. Cook Building in Milledgeville, GA until his death. He was a dedicated employee who worked until he was no longer able. He was a loving father to his children, as they were the joy of his life.

Mr. David Lundy leaves behind three children to continue his legacy: Aaron Wheeler and Dasia Lundy, and God-daughter Jessica Chatman; siblings: Herbert “Boochie” Lundy, Loretta (Freddie) Brookins, Mamie Lundy, Nellie (Eugene) Tucker, Cynthia Franklin, and Annie Ruth Lundy (sister-in-law) of Sparta, GA; Shirley Ann Lundy of Milledgeville, GA and Charlie Lundy of Sandersville, GA. Surviving aunts: Sallie Pearson and Eva Harper of Sparta, GA, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and Annette Chatman (his nieces & nephews’ honorary aunt).

Mr. David Lundy was a devoted friend, uncle, and brother who leaves behind his friends: Bryant (Shordrika) Lundy (a wonderful nephew & sidekick), Andrew Fluellen, Bruce Chatman, Randy Taylor, Robert Dawson, J.B. Dawson, and Jim Foster.

He was a quiet man who brought fun and life to all, with a funny personality. His family and friends supported him during his cancer journey until death. David Lundy will truly be missed and was absolutely loved by all that knew him.
