David Sam Armstrong, II

Mr. David "Bug" Armstrong, II transitioned to final rest on Friday, November 18, 2022, at a local hospital.  Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 11:00a.m. at St Paul CME Church, Sparta, GA.  St. Paul CME Church Reminders: Due to Covid-19, there are restrictions and guidelines we must follow in order to keep everyone safe: Masks are required for everyone, temperature checked before entrance.. Public Viewing will be on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. at Ingram Brothers Chapel.

DAVID SAM ARMSTRONG, JR. was born on November 8, 1950, the third child born to Evelyn and David Sam Armstrong,  Sr. David accepted Christ at an early age; he joined the St. Paul CME Church where he has remained a lifelong member.   David  attended  the  Hancock  County  schools;  graduated  in 1968. He continued his studies in Florida and began working for the Ford Motor Company, that same year. David retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service. After retirement,  David moved back to his hometown, Sparta, Georgia where he spent most of his time traveling, fishing, and socializing around  town  with  cousins,  classmates,  and  friends.  David loved his family and traveled to no end to see them.  He was also an avid Atlanta sports fan (Falcons, Braves, and Hawks). David was called to eternal rest on November 18, 2022.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him. David  leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Ruby Glover Armstrong;  Four  children:  his  daughters,  Santressa  Idlette (Melvin) and Evelyn Armstrong; his sons, David Sam Armstrong, III  (Candie),  and  Mario  Calhoun  (Rosalyn); Nine  grandchildren: Patrice Feaster (TK), Dennethra Armstrong, Aishadia Armstrong, Eryn  Sheffied,  Melmesha  Idlette, Melvin  Idlette,  Jr.,  Tyree Jones, Tianna Armstrong, and Marcello Fisher; Five great-grands and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
