Mr. Calvin Freeman, Sr.

Our beloved relative and friend, Calvin Freeman, Sr. was born April 11, 1939 to the late Willie ‘Bill’ Freeman (father) and Clyde Freeman (mother). He attended public school in Baldwin County. He was employed by Central State Hospital and the Baldwin County school system’s Transportation Dept. He was a beloved bus driver and trained new drivers of Baldwin County buses.

Brother Freeman symbolized his dedication to Jehovah by water baptism on December 20, 1987. He served and remained faithful to Jehovah even during extended illness, which ended on September 6, 2022. He was affectionately known by all of his grandkids as “Big Daddy”.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter: Shirley Thomas of Milledgeville, GA; four sons: Calvin (Bridget) Freeman, Jr. of Sparta, GA; James ‘Michael’ Freeman of Milledgeville, GA; Leroy (Yolonda) Freeman of Byron, GA; and Willie (Sandra) Freeman of Milledgeville, GA; one step-daughter: Barbara J. Wilson Shinholster of Gordon, GA; three sisters-in-law: Doris Havior of Milledgeville, GA; Susie Mae Bass of Coolidge, GA; and Anna Lois Justice of Sparta, GA; and one brother-in-law: Johnny Lee Mosley of Sparta, GA.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm daily at 3382 Brown Chapel Road,  Sparta, GA

Service:  September 14, 2022 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1:00 p.m.

Public Visitation:  Tuesday, September 13, 2022: 3:00-6:00 p.m.
