Bobby J Simmons

Mr. Bobby J. Simmons of Sparta, GA Transitioned to final rest on Saturday, April 22, 2023.  Public Viewing will be Friday, April 28, 2023, 3:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 29, 2023, 12 Noon Pearson Chapel AME Church, Sparta, GA.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Reflection of Life

Bobby Simmons was born to the late Tommie and Mary Simmons on April 19, 1955 in Sparta, Georgia.  He received his formal education from the Hancock County public school system.  Bobby worked at Concord Fabric for over twenty years and Mohawk Factory until he retired fifteen years later.  He served many in the community as a faithful handyman.

At an early age, Bobby joined Pearson Chapel A.M.E Church.  During, his later years he rededicated his life to Christ, and developed a personal relationship with God.  He served the church as a Trustee where he maintained the church grounds and cemetery.  

Bob, as he was known to family and friends, leaves a legacy of memories to cherish: A son Justin Simmons; two brothers, Willie Simmons and Wayne Thomas (Elizabeth); five sisters, Mary Poole, Christine Newton, Julia Lewis, Gloria Lester, Gloria Simmons; one grandchild; Carolyn Simmons (special friend); and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
