Her Life's Journey
Ms. Annie Ruth Jones was born in Sparta, Georgia on March 28, 1954, to the late Joseph and Annie Jones. She was blessed to have five siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mildred, a daughter, and a nephew, Jonathan. Annie Ruth joined Mr. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and enjoyed attending church and serving the Lord. Her early education began at the Hancock Central School System. Annie Ruth graduated with the class of 1972. While at Hancock Central, she was proud member of the marching band as a high stepping majorette.
After high school, Annie Ruth studied Business Administration at Dekalb College in Atlanta, GA. Afterwards, she move to Brooklyn, New York and lived there for a number of years, then moved back to Sparta, ultimately moving to Milledgeville, Georgia, where she was employed with Rheem Manufacturing Company until her retirement. She was exceptionally proud and private and enjoyed her time relaxing and tending to her flowers.
Annie Ruth leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to her two brothers, Joe Jones, Jr. and Lenard Jones; two sisters, Teresa (Stanley) Westbrooks and Wanda (Bernard) Chatman; six nieces, Tangeria Woolfork, Tawanna (Ali) Dennis, Crystal Grace, Vigi (Marcus) Thompson, Maya (Keith) Anderson and Aria Chatman; three nephews, Nicholas and Michael Westbrooks, and Eric Chatman; two uncles, Robert and Rufus Jones; two aunts, Dorothy Hudson and Essie Price; several great nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
Annie's Life Journey was celebrated and concluded in a private memorial service.
